Meet the Foundation: Information

The Fundación Comillas is a private non-profitmaking organization set up in 2005. Its main aim is to start up, develop and run a centre of excellence dedicated to the promoting and specialized teaching of the Spanish language and Hispanic culture. This will be made possible with the collaboration of Public Authorities, private companies and other entities and institutions.

Aims and Functions

The general aim of the Fundación Comillas is to offer high-quality teaching which includes not only purely academic aspects, but also all the complementary activities that improve the learning process.

Likewise, the Foundation will promote research in all those fields related to the language. The fundamental purpose is to develop a Community to Create Knowledge in Spanish which prestigious national and international institutions may join.

 

Amongst the main functions of the Fundación Comillas the following should be mentioned:

  • Teaching and researching the Spanish language and Hispanic culture
  • Providing forums, conventions and seminars in Spanish, either directly or with the collaboration of other organizations or institutions.
  • Applying Information and Communication Technologies to the teaching of Spanish
