Meet the Foundation: Organization

The Foundation is made up of three societies through which the different actions which will take place in this Institution are implemented. The three societies are the International Centre of University Studies in Spanish (CIESE), the Society of Commercial Expansion (SEC) and the Society of Real-Estate Assets (SAI).

The International Centre of University Studies in Spanish or CIESE is in charge of all the activities of an academic or research character the Fundación Comillas is involved with. An extremely important aspect is that this centre will have the possibility of awarding official certificates in Spanish and also university credits, thanks to its collaboration with the University of Cantabria.

The Society of Commercial Expansion or SEC is equipped with the necessary structure to carry out an efficient and effective commercialization of the Fundación Comillas activities. The services carried out to such end shall be entrusted to the CIESE. In addition, this society coordinates those Fundación Comillas activities which are not purely academic, such as our activities concerning culture, sports, accommodation and publicity, etc.

The Society of Real-Estate Assets or SAI is responsible for managing all the real-estate, of which the renovation work on the Pontifical University should be emphasized. This society owns the buildings, although they will be ceded by means of a leasing agreement to the International Centre of University Studies in Spanish - CIESE for the development of its academic activities, as well as to the Fundación Comillas and the Society of Commercial Expansion - SEC, for the location of its headquarters.
