Life Community: Cultural Activities

Culture and Art are sources of knowledge and delight. The Foundation offers an extensive range of new and interesting cultural activities, for which the town of Comillas is the perfect setting due to its rich architectural heritage.

Cinema and Film Screenings

Spanish films and monographic film cycles of great social and cultural interest can be seen as offered through the Campus Film Screenings. After the film screenings, there will be discussions during which we will count on the presence of renowned Spanish film directors.

Art

Familiarization with Modern Art, widely represented in architecture throughout Comillas, via guided tour.

Cookery

Cookery classes are included because they provide an important way of making contact with Spanish and Cantabrian culture. Three goals are aimed at with this activity: preparing some of the most typical Spanish dishes; practising the Spanish language in a fun environment; and the familiarization of the idiosyncrasies of the country through its gastronomy.

Theatre

The Marqués de Comillas Performing Arts workshop offers a special programme of theatre plays which completes the cultural activities offered.
