Location and surroundings: How to get here
Comillas has fast and frequent bus connections with Santander, the capital of the region.
There are different ways of getting to Santander:
- By road. Santander is 200 kilometres from the French border (A8), 360 kilometres from Madrid (A1) and has motorway connections with all of Europe. There are bus routes with many Spanish and European cities.
- By Ferry. The Plymouth-Santander ferry is a convenient option for those students travelling from Great Britain who wish to travel with their own vehicle. (www.brittanyferries.es).
- By Train. There are regular train services with Madrid, Barcelona and the other Spanish regional capitals, as well as with the French border (www.renfe.es and www.feve.es)
- By Plane. There are direct flights to Santander from many Spanish and international destinations (www.iberia.es), including flights provided by low cost airlines.
Additionally, there are a number of airports close to Comillas with international connections, amongst which are Bilbao, Asturias, Valladolid and Santiago.
