- Santillana del Mar and the Altamira Caves
- Santillana del Mar is like a living museum. It is a medieval village that developed around the Collegiate Church of Santa Juliana. Most of the country houses pertain to diverse architectural styles from the fourteenth to the eighteenth centuries.
- Two kilometres away from Santillana are the world-famous Altamira Caves. They were discovered in 1879 and have been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

- San Vicente de la Barquera
- San Vicente de la Barquera and its fishing port are located in the heart of Oyambre Nature Reserve. It is a protected natural area of great ecological value made up of estuaries, cliffs, beaches, dunes, meadowlands and woods that are home to fauna and flora of exceptional value.
