Students: Courses Available

The General Courses in Spanish Language and Hispanic Studies offered by the Fundación Comillas cover six levels depending on the contents and aims. You will gradually develop skills to be able to speak, understand, read and write in Spanish.

The Spanish used on our courses is a version of the language that meets educational standards for Spanish, without losing sight of the different varieties of Spanish spoken throughout the world.

All levels have the following contents:

• Linguistics (grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, spelling)
• Discourse Practice (where you learn strategies on how to speak, understand, read and write in different situations)
• Cultural studies (knowledge and behaviour) and social skills (intercultural attitudes and skills)

From Threshold level (B1), onwards, specific sessions on Hispanic culture (Literature, Art, Gastronomy and History) can be added to the contents.

The aims of the levels in which the Foundation's courses in Spanish Language are offered, correspond to the linguistic and communication guidelines established in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.

The Complementary Activities offered by the Fundación Comillas enable you to put what you have learnt in class into practice.
